Hi! We have Dspace 1.7.2 and I have been having problems with SRW also. I found this thread and according to instructions given here I lifted the db.maxconnections in dspace.cfg from 30 to 100.
Currently the situation is, that we get both of these errors: "404: Document not found (No searchRetrieveResponse) OCLC SRW/SRU Server" and "info:srw/diagnostic/1/1 Meaning: General System Error Details: Cannot get a connection, pool error Timeout waiting for idle object" even in the situations where the amount of postgres processes is 27 including 4 processes which are in state of "idle of transaction", then there are processes for logger, writer, wal writer, autovacuum laucher process and stats collector process. The rest of the processes are "idle" processes. So In my opionion there should not be any reason for the error messages. 27 processes is way below 100 connections allowed in dspace.cfg and postgres conf files. Does anybody have an idea what I should test next ? Am I missing something here ? SRW is quite important interface for us, so any advice would be appreciated! Thanks!
