Hi Walter,

this usually means that the ORACLE_HOME environment variable (with
path to the instant client and in turn tnsnames.ora) was not set
correctly. Where did you set it so that Tomcat could use it? What OS
are you using? Did you install Tomcat from your distribution's
packages or from tomcat.apache.org source?
