Hi helix84,

I'm using DSpace version 3.2 with modified Mirage theme. I've found a file
that I think pertains to discovery -
dspace-3.2-src-release\dspace\modules\xmlui\src\main\webapp\themes\dri2xhtml-alt\aspect\artifactbrowser\
*discovery.xsl* (I'm actually building my custom theme from the
[dspace-src]\dspace\modules directory). Is this the right file?

If so, my primary objective is to modify the thumbnail generation on
discovery search to display the mime type format instead of just the
default mime icon. I already done this by editing both my item-view.xsl and
item-list.xsl but it doesn't reflect during search results. I noticed this
code that I think I need to modify:

A.
<!--Generates thumbnails (if present)-->
        <xsl:apply-templates select="$metsDoc/mets:METS/mets:fileSec"
mode="artifact-preview"><xsl:with-param name="href"
select="concat($context-path, '/handle/', $handle)"/></xsl:apply-templates>

in my item-list.xsl I used these codes to generate custom icon based on
bitstream format:

B.
<xsl:template match="mets:fileSec" mode="artifact-preview">
        <xsl:param name="mimetype"
select="//mets:fileGrp[@USE='CONTENT']/mets:file/@MIMETYPE"/>
        <xsl:param name="href"/>
        <xsl:value-of select="."/>
        <div class="thumbnail-wrapper">
            <div class="artifact-preview">
                <a class="image-link" href="{$href}">
                    <xsl:choose>
                        <xsl:when test="mets:fileGrp[@USE='THUMBNAIL']">
                            <img alt="Thumbnail">
                                <xsl:attribute name="src">
                                    <xsl:value-of

select="mets:fileGrp[@USE='THUMBNAIL']/mets:file/mets:FLocat[@LOCTYPE='URL']/@xlink:href"/>
                                </xsl:attribute>
                            </img>
                        </xsl:when>

                        <xsl:when test="$mimetype='audio/x-aiff' or
$mimetype='audio/basic' or $mimetype='audio/x-wav' or
                              $mimetype='audio/x-mpeg' or
$mimetype='audio/x-pn-realaudio' or $mimetype='audio/mp3' or
                                      $mimetype='audio/mpeg'">
                            <xsl:element name="a">
                                <xsl:attribute name="class">
                                    <xsl:text>image-link</xsl:text>
                                </xsl:attribute>
                                <xsl:attribute name="href">
                                    <xsl:value-of select="$href"/>
                                </xsl:attribute>
                            </xsl:element>
                            <img alt="Icon" src="{concat($theme-path,
'/images/images_icon/DB-file_format_icons/audio_icon.png')}"
                       style="height: {$thumbnail.maxheight}px;"/>
                        </xsl:when>

I tried copying the entire block at the end of the discover.xsl thinking
that it will match the mode="artifact-preview" with the A. code above. How
do I integrate these codes?

Thanks a lot,
Brian
