Hi Teo, this question is really not specific to DSpace. If you add a new table, DSpace won't really care about it unless you modify the DSpace source code. If you want to add a new table anyway, just talk directly to the database as you normally would (psql for Postgres or sqlplus for Oracle or any of the numerous DB client programs). Then to create the table, just use a SQL command like "CREATE TABLE yourtablename;". There are also GUI DB clients. Use the db.username and db.password to authenticate.
