That describes my current DSpace development environment. It works well for me. That depends on whether you favor having all the latest bug fixes, regardless of whether you have known problems, or you adhere more strongly to the maxim: "if it ain't broke, don't fix it." I haven't heard of any problems with running DSpace 4.0 on Pg 9.1 either. In short, I don't think you can go wrong with either 9.1 or 9.3.
