Dear Professionals,
All of us are aware that, there are several open source and commercial
softwares available to develop repository for the institute/ organization.
Some softwares are widely used for developing repositories though there are
strong and weak points in each software.
I would like to discuss on necessary things, features, functionality and
modifications which are important and should be in repository softwares
considering , repository administrator, LIS staff, contributors and users
of repositories. Simply it is a attempt to know what are the features,
ideas, functions to be included in repository softwares which are absent or
undeveloped presently in the repository softwares.
