Hello Franziska, yes in the case of "controlled metadata" would not work for free subjects etc. Just add the values to your message catalogue and adjust the page displaying it (not sure which one in the xmlui this is, as we are using jspui). Here is an Example https://eldorado.tu-dortmund.de/handle/2003/4 the DDC groups, publication type, language got their language dependant display value and not the actual values.
