Hi Lewatle, Looks like this same error was encountered by someone else in the past (this is an old thread from dspace-tech):
http://comments.gmane.org/gmane.comp.db.dspace.user/24969 According to that thread, the resolution was to increase the value of db.maxconnections (in dspace.cfg) and max_connections (in postgresql.conf). The value of "max_connections" (in postgresql.conf) should be slightly higher than the value of "db.maxconnections", since PostgreSQL automatically reserves a few connections for superuser accounts only (see "superuser_reserved_connections" in postgresql.conf).
