They have a very simple webmail interface but I can't find any way of 
affecting the filters.

I agree, but I also think you should never ever produce any kind of invalid 
messages, except when testing how a system deals with invalid messages. Even 
if it's only for debugging you should still encode non-ASCII data in headers 
as ASCII strings.
