FWIW I've packaged (rpm) and am running (on 2 sites) CVS from 11-01-07. Apart from a couple of bugfixes, dropping the Oracle SQL support, an undocumented LDAP client (?) and documentation changes, there is little difference in functionality between 3.6.8 and CVS (cfr. CHANGELOG and README).
