Like Tom Diehl in February last, I ran FC6's rpmlint (0.80-1) against my
FC6 rpm and was taken aback at how many errors/warnings it spat out.
Some were mine (like wrong directory structures and not separating
development libs from the main package) and a couple were Jonathan's
(like giving the dspam binary "funny" perms and making executables of
the html template files).
I can finally live with what it now reports and the dspam package has
been split up into main and development rpms. In accordance with LFH
dspam's home is now in /var/lib (the rpm will move it there if it's in
/var and the installer will be warned), the html "executables" have
corrected perms, post and preun scriptlets have been revamped - and a
deal more.
The rpms, an srpm and the new spec file are available at
ftp://ipd50aa34e.speed.planet.nl/pub/FedoraFC6rpms/ as long as the
machine is airborne (most of the time). In as much as RHAS5 is based on
FC6, the srpm should build both on RHAS4 and RHAS5 as well as
earlier/later FCs. The binary rpms should not be used on RHAS* or FC<6.
Best,
