No doubt about it: 3.8.0
Most current version 3.8.0 produces "Unknown column" and enters nothing into dspam_signature_data table.
Always remember that thousands of others use the very version of any software you're using - in this case dspam 3.8.0 - and far and away most of them have no problems. Certainly I wouldn't be using dspam 3.8.0 if I did. It gives me no problems at all - i can certainly not confirm your finding.
I should mention that my DB backend is MySQL, 4.1.20, 5.0.22 and 5.0.27, depending on the machine it's running on.
