There are a large number of analog FM repeaters on both 2m & 70cm that should cover O'Hare airport, however the CFMC & SARA repeaters located in downtown Chicago are both wide area FM repeaters. The Illinois Repeater Association repeater list at http://www.ilra.net/DirByRegByCity.html should be useful. Take a look at the Chicago and Northeast sections.
The North Shore Repeater Club has a D-STAR repeater, NS9RC B on 442.09375 MHz (+5 MHz) and an analog FM repeater on 442.725 (114.8 Hz PL) (+5 MHz). They are both located in the city of Chicago a few miles away from O'Hare airport on the Lake Michigan lakefront 6 miles north of downtown Chicago on 55-story condo building. The D-STAR repeater is open and could always use more activity. It is connected to the gateway and has dplus running. You can contact our system administrator, Pat, W9PDS, [EMAIL PROTECTED] if you have specific questions about the gateway, dplus or the reflectors. Welcome to our winter wonderland. A few inches of snow a couple days ago and more predicted for tomorrow. Then cold weather over the weekend. 73, Mark, WB9QZB Chicago, IL ----- Original Message ---- From: Ray T.
