Colorado D-STAR folks,

John Maxwell N0WBW was able to work 1.2 GHz "DV" voice from over 100
miles out from Mt. Thorodin with a 1.2 GHz corner reflector built by
Dave W6OAL of "Ye Olde Antenna Labs" in Parker, Co today with an ID-1
on high power (10w?).

Exact range was roughly 115 miles.

He wasn't quite able to make high-speed 128K half duplex "DD" data
work at that range.

He was line of sight from the top of the mesa called Cedar Point a few
miles west of Limon, CO.

A good sign that the RF portion of the 1.2 GHz combiner, duplexer,
feedline, and antenna system at W0CDS/Mt. Thorodin was done "right".

The Repeater is using a very similar but more compact/modern version
of the same antenna.
