Be sure the SKIP field is not checked.  Next be sure your are in MR vs VFO (for 
memory scan). Next press and hold the #2 key (SCAN)for a couple of seconds to 
choose between ALL, BAND, MODE and DUP, using the Channel selector to choose.  
Finally momentarily press scan to start scanning.  You may end up on channel 22 
or 222 because you can manually enter the channel number.  To stop SCAN bump 
the #2 key again.  I have a detailed how to power point at 
www.bosshardradio.com/ic91.ppt for the IC-91 that is similar to the IC-92.  

You start scan in Band A and then Band B for scanning both Band A (wide FM, 
etc) and Band B (narrow FM and DV).  I believe dual watch toggles between a VFO 
freq and one MR freq (going from memory without reading the book here - 
sometimes a dangerous thing).   73, steve nu5d
