EL5 is a little old now, so it requires you to install a few packages first:

Once you've done that, you can run it from the source tarball, as
available on the download page.  If you need more details, please join

There are pre-built packages available for F11, F12 and recent
Debian-based systems, but there aren't enough users of EL5 as a desktop
system at the moment to justify building packages regularly.
