I have a friend who is an ICOM dealer and at a recent sales convention in Las
Vegas ased about any new D-Star equipment and was told none in the forseeable
future.

The lack of any D-STAR repeaters in the vicinity of my QTH has kept me out of
D-STAR, though I do Dongle.
The advent of the DVAP-Dongle has me thinking it's time to buy a handheld, like
the 92AD but with Dayton just around the corner I wonder if there is anything
new expected that would cause me to regret making a purchase this weekend?
