Is there by chance a battery in the Mic at all you don't know about?

  Just a thought.

  Subject: [DSTAR_DIGITAL] MH-133 Problem on an IC-2820

I have had the 2820 for about a year and have no problems at all with it,
until now. The MH-133 Mic has an amber that just recently came on the Activity
Indicator side. I have spent a couple hours attempting to diagnose the issue.
The manual has nothing to offer accept that this specific LED is only suppose
to show RED or Green when performing functions and/or PTT. In addition, I now
can't do any function controls or DTMF control via the Mic.
I have done a full cpu reset. I have not been able to swap mics with another
2820 yet, and that would be the last test with in my abilities to perform
before either determining if either the mic is malfunctioning or the
transceiver, or both.
I have also contacted Icom, whom were very helpful, but unfortunately I found
out this problem is new to them too and could not offer any solution accept to
send the radio in.
  Any suggestions?
