Hi, I'm new to Dtrace.
Can someone tell me if Dtrace can be used for: 1. If a file gets created in a certain directory, I want to be informed by email? 2. If a particular program reads from its home terminal, can Dtrace send data to that program under certain circumstance? I don't always know every prompt to expect. I know that Dtrace is not specifically designed for application automation. I know too that some of this can be done via cron and "expect".
