I think it's better to use Linux-Dubai.com, until it's ready, and because of having SSH access, working is easier into it for installing apps. and etc. plus we can have the news in the site and integrate our activities.
Also it has 50 MB now, and I will increase it in next months.
Anyway, if you want to get a hosting from EIM, you can get a 50 MB hosting with 600 Dhs and I think 50 Dhs for a Domain.

I'm itching to attend the LUG meetings. Unfortunately, as I mentioned in
one of my earlier mails, can't return to the UAE till I gain some
work-ex. I'm working in Mumbai at the moment.
While on the topic, whats the cost of hosting a site in the UAE (Domain
name + webspace)? In India, its quite reasonable. Rs 2000 per year for
10 MB of webspace on a Linux server and Rs 400 per year for a
.com/.net/.org domain name. ( 1 AED = 13 IRS approx.).
