Apple has, what it calls Open Directory. Which is
essentially OpenLDAP. But, incredible as it may sound,
it is compatibile with Micro$oft Active Directory, old
time Windows NT style Domain Controller (through
Samba, I guess) and everything else including the
kitchen sink!
