Everyday one can see some of the corporates jumping into the bandwagon in some way or the other. Recently Nokia joined the bandwagon. Sony, IBM et all to make a commitee for IP available for OSS, as long as they don't go in for patents.. And so on .. The list is too big.
In the GCC too things are looking better, i must say .. So the future really looks bright. You can get lots of news like this on news servers and especially slashdot http://www.slashdot.org India is even more Linux country one can say, especially if you go down to Bangalore, the IT Hub, even the government, for example.
