Dirk is correct, although Novell package a SAP Client with their
Novell Linux Desktop. Sap has been dealing with linux since 1993, and
every year has double its linux client base since 1999. For linux
enquiries with regards to SAP you should email: linux at sap.com
However I have seen some howtos on the web on the SAPGUI install. If
you are using a thin client like Citrix then you are fine, the citrix
client works on linux.
