Dear Linux Users We, at the Etisalat University College, EUC, would like to organize a 2-day Linux and Open Sources Applications Workshop, LOSAW2006, sometime in March/April 2006.
The main categories of the workshop will be, and not limited to, the efficient use of Linux and Open Sources Applications Workshop in the following categories: Education: How Linux can be used to improve learning and enhance students' competencies How lecturer can use Linux and Open Applications to make their lecture more motivating and interesting. How educational institutions can use Linux to save money and to manage their resources Research: How researchers can use Linux and very sophisticated open source applications in their research Business: How business can take advantage form Linux and Open Source Applications. Several Giant companies worldwide are using Linux and Opensource applications to run their business Art and entertainment: The use of Linux and Opensource applications to develop artistic multimedia productions. Of course if you have any other item to add you are welcome. I am looking for suggestions and contributions in organization (call for participants, sponsors.) and so on.
