Jayan,
You need to install the firmware for the wifi card to /lib/firmware
these files are not shipped with FC for user agreement issue. Please
visit http://ipw2200.sf.net and download from the firmware link.
I've been jumping various versions so not sure what version of
firmware you actually need as of particular kernel you've got
installed, but download all of 2.x series to /lib/firmware that won't
hurt.
