Hi Folks.
I'm using cpio to perform full monthly backups on the 1st of every month and weekly differential backups on every sundays.
If I want to restore a directory, which of the following options is safer?
Option 1:
First restore from the last full backup, and then restore from the differential backup with the overwrite existing files option.
Option 2:
First restore from the differential backup and then restore from the full monthly backup, with the don't overwrite newer files option.
