The good thing is that McNealy'll still be around, doing what he's very
good at - evangelising. It's funny to think of him changing his job.
Without wishing to sound sycophantic, it's a bit like a father figure
moving on. I've been with Sun or a Sun partner for 8 years now and he's
always been a fixture.
Schwartz is impressive. I've seen him present and talk close up and
he's very focused, very lucid and very on the ball. Things like
OpenSolaris and the Java Enterprise System software stack have very much
been driven by him and are doing very well.
Good times ahead, I think.
