I know this a forum for Linux & opensource. But since i saw many threads on laptops, i guess i could ask this question. The more time i spend at alain center, the more confused i get. Every salesman tells a totally differnet story.I need a site where i can get proper review on laptops which a available in dubai. Or if someone can help me it would be great.
The brand i have with me are: Asus, Dell, HP, LG, Packard Bell, Toshiba, Acer, Siemens Fujitsu, Lenovo IBM Thinkpad. I need one for my use at collage and i dont play game or watch film in that. At times, may be some music. So a decent speaker will be needed. Wifi has to bulit-in. And a bluetooth builtin would be great, though not necessary. Batterylife is the main thing. Pentium centrino & 512 mb ram. Dont know how good a Dual core will be. AMD seems to be making a lot for news these days, wonder if its any good on a laptop. My budget currently is 2700 - 3200. but if the budget is a bad one, i could change it. This is my first time with laptops. I am total newbie.
