I see there is a USB-based 20A model, but also the GX and I know (and the BX that I've never heard of).

Hi

If there is actually a network port, then you should be able to
configure the device to create a connection independant of any network
activity, and it should function a a regular network gateway.

My experience with the Lucent Cellpipe involves a serial connection to
blank the config, setup the network port and dsl settings. After
setting up the network port and rebooting the router, you can telnet to
the device.

The one I saw has a usb interface with a modem interface and a ethernet

switch, are you saying I can use the eth as a line in and have the modem
dial-out automatically? As against initiating the connection from the

linux

box?

  But

from etisalat's documents that I'm seeing it should be a "USB DSL

Lucent

CellPipe 20A Modem" - as described in their tarrif book.

  Hi,

Could anyone guide me in configuring the business 1 lucent adsl router on
