Yeah, as Feisty is still unstable the pacthes for the card reader that have 
developed over the last 
couple of days should make it into the stable kernel.. *fingers crossed*.. *or* 
the 2.6.21 kernel 
will make it into feisty.. one or the other.. anyway.. I've got Feisty 
installed in a spare 
partition on my laptop (it used to be XP) and have had a play with it.. and 
it's nice.. Edgy was not 
worth upgrading to from an already working system, but feisty may well be..

In any case, the piecemeal upgrade of what is effectively a debian stable style 
system, using much 
newer components can be somewhat of a challenge, but also a cool learning 
experience. I highly 
recommend it.. Just don't start with something as core and fragile as udev and 
hal. That's like 
ripping the beating heart out of a cat and still expecting it to purr.. Fun 
none-the-less in a 
"Let's reboot and see how broken things can get" kind of way.
