It's not. Don't ask me how I know ;)

Even with what you might consider sufficient numbers of loops, the copper 
stretches to breaking 
point very easily, and when it lets go the stretched PVC insulation snaps back 
with a bit of a twang.

Nice idea though.

It's pretty useful for most other stuff though.. Kinda like the duct tape of 
the IT world.
