This is not an answer to your query, but is there a specific reason u're looking at using an IPSEC based vpn as against an SSL one? I did some work with CiscoTAC in a previous life, primarily on their VPN concentrator (which at the time was a IPSEC implementation) and eventually went on to using OpenSwan as an alternative, however, lately I've been introduced to OpenVPN and I find the configuration and management to be much easier on OpenVPN than OpenSWAN. My point being, why would you use a more pain-in-the-backside implementation of VPN when you have another OSS alternative? And no, the answer is not the traditional IPSEC vs SSL VPN story. I've personally researched and written on the topic and I don't buy it...not after OpenVPN. A
