Had my mini running Ubuntu 7.04 for a month or so now. Love it. The perfect quiet machine. I wanted a box that had dual cores, GB ethernet, DVI, was silent and the right price. The mini out did every other box (name brand or not) that I looked at, and it's small and power efficient to boot. I've got an old G4 sitting at home bereft of VGA card, when I can locate one for the right price (read as nill) I'll install linux on that and have a play with it as well. Don't get me wrong, I love OSX and even use it on my mini from time to time, but I'm a full time linux user since '96 and don't step out of my comfort zone often ;) > I'll be following the list for a while to see what's going on. Not a lot at the moment. Let's say the list is in quiet respite. > Perhaps we could combine some of our common interests in open source > and do some event or something together. Sounds like a plan, now where is Dan when you really need him ? > We also publish a newsletter called shuffle, currently printed in 2000 > copies. Great to see some new blood. Welcome.
