Probably. More information would be useful though.
How are you configured under Win2K ? Static or DHCP ?
Does kubuntu see your network card at all?
What does ifconfig actually say?
Have you checked /var/syslog for messages pertaining to the configuration of 
your card?
Do you have a firewire port in the machine? Sometimes they can take eth0 and 
the whole networking 
configuration system gets confused.
