Neelesh if you are starting out fresh do all of the above. Starting using Linux for your day to day things. Email, audio and video playback, spreadsheeting, writing documents etc. Pretty soon you shall need to do something like play a video or listen to a specific music format which is not supported. You shall then need to research it, and starting learning how to basic stuff like unzip files, move files, build from source, add and refresh repositories, add printers / configure cups, share files with other OSes. This was how many of us started. Through everyday usage you will learn what goes where, file rights, and commands. Start small aim high. We are here to bounce ideas off and lend a hand. Of course you will not get far with out the infamous mug of vi. http://www.thinkgeek.com/homeoffice/mugs/7bbe/ Dan -- _____________________________________________________________ " They that can give up liberty to obtain a little temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety.
