Yesterday my squeezebox duet just would not start. No led light blinking red, no nothing. Just dead. I disassembled the unit, but nothing seemed strange. Neither did anything smell. I read somewhere that someone suggested to remove the WiFi unit so I did that. Still nothing. I measured the 3v3, 5v and 1v2 voltages on the circuit board and these seemed all be i nice working order.
When I read the suggestion from bpa I thought, "well that must be really be long-shot". Anyway I soldered a pinheader to the VIN/GND connector in the upper left corner of the PCB and supplied 9v and voila, the unit started to live (well at least blink red). Right now I'll have to re-mount the WiFi unit but things looks far better now than an hour ago. Thanks bpa !! :) King regards Magnus ------------------------------------------------------------------------ metscore's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=70444 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=112622 _______________________________________________ Duet mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/duet
