Okay. I never saw any noticeable delay here that exceeded the time a
dhcp server would need to assign an IP address.

I'd try and disconnect the repeater and any other WiFi device that may
interfere, make the system as simple as possible.

If you can get your hands on a second Receiver, I think that would be
the easiest way forward.
