The whole system consist of:
1. A client/user interface, this can be one of:
- A Squeezebox Controller hardware if you have a duet:
https://wiki.slimdevices.com/index.php/Squeezebox_Controller.html
- A smart phone/tablet running a Squeezebox app, for example Squeeze
Commander
- A smart phone/tablet/computer accessing LMS via a web browser, this
would typically be user for configuring LMS or accessing the third party
Material skin which you optionally can install in LMS

2. An LMS server which makes music files/streaming services available to
player and user interface, this can be one of:
- A NAS with LMS installed, like in your old setup
- A Raspberry Pi, or similar device, with LMS installed, like in your
new setup. Easiest would probably be to use piCorePlayer and install it
as LMS server.
- A traditional computer with LMS installed

3. A player, this can be one of
- A Squeezebox hardware player, like the Reciever which is part of your
Duet package:
https://wiki.slimdevices.com/index.php/Squeezebox_Receiver.html
- A Squeezebox software player installed on same device as LMS or on
separate hardware, for example the software player included with
piCorePlayer

4. Music file storage, this can be one of:
- An hard drive on the device running LMS, this was the case in your old
setup where LMS was running on the NAS and the music files were located
on a hard drive in the NAS
- On an hard drive in a separate NAS/computer exposing them on the
network, this would be the case in your new setup

Basically there are a few things that are different compared to your old
setup:
- When accessing LMS via Squeeze Commander you need to make sure Squeeze
Commander connects to LMS on the Raspberry Pi instead of NAS. I don’t
remember if Squeeze Commander automatically discovers LMS on the network
or if you have to manually specify the IP address.
- When configuring LMS/Raspberry Pi you will have to mount the
directory/share on the NAS where the music files are, I believe the
instruction Michael linked to earlier describes how to do this with
piCorePlayer
- I don’t remember if you also might need to reconfigure the Squeezebox
Duet to let it know that LMS now runs on the Raspberry Pi and not on the
NAS.
