I own allot of receivers, two in use, many in storage, and have reset them many several times :)
The white does look "light/pale yellow", The yellow is very "vibrant" yellow. I tried to take a picture, but could not really capture the color. I think the receiver is fine as a general purpose player, but in my experience requires either ethernet or a very strong wifi connection.
