Brandy and others,

Thanks for replying. The 2400 is a G3 upgrade. I really wanted to
hit the floor running with it so I paid a lot for it and was assured
it was running perfectly. It may be a fine machine but it has no
finder - I already turned to this group for help on that - and I have
ZERO technical experience /aptitude /talent /expertise so I've placed
the machine and the peripherals it came with on a shelf in my office
for now. It was shipped with a floppy drive, docking station and a
bunch of cables (I'm not sure what they are for) and an "internal HDD
FIrmware 1996." I suppose that means hard drive.

I don't have the software or manuals and neither does seller for the
2400. I have no idea if a G3 upgrade comes with software - I didn't
receive any software except a cd called "spelltools" from newer
technology. When you say I need to "replace the system" do you mean
I will need the 2400 original disks?

Loretta
