Hey Pete:
Duo keyboards have always been a problem. Recently I dismantled and cleaned
my original keyboard. It worked like new again. All you do is:
Start prying the keys off one by one. Start with a small square key on the
edge of the keyboard; control, arrow, etc. Use a flathead screwdriver, key,
etc. It may seem like you're about to break it, but no. It'll pop off
without damage. Then pry the others off. Once they're all off, there's a
rubber button pad underneath. Pull that off (it's not attached in any way).
Then there are two mylar sheets underneath (clear plastic sheets with metal
circutry stamped on).
FROM HERE ON IN BE CAREFUL. Although you can't actually damage the computer
this way, you could damage the keyboard. That means no tugging on the
sheets, as that will severe the circuts that connect to the motherboard.
The mylar sheets with the circutry need to cleaned, as well as the rubber
button pad-conact rings. I used masking tape to pull the grime off the
circutry.

Its not hard at all, definitely not complicated. Just don't tug too hard.
