I got the LEDs at a local place called Tanner electronics. It is a
family owned place that still sells components. I got the led for $3.95.
It is a full sized LED, so I had to run wires from the solder points on
the LCD control board, to the LED which I placed to the right of the
board. It is a superbright LED. Do not worry about voltage, you could
hook this LED to a 9 volt battery an it would survive completely
undamaged (just dont do it for too long). I'm not sure if SMT blue LEDs
exist. If they did, I would try Mouser electronics. www.mouser.com
