My only guess here is that you make sure the battery at least 
registers as a battery when you put it in the Duo.  IF you put the 
battery in and the Duo pukes, thats a bad sign.  Also, you can try 
and recondition it, to the point of getting the dialog that describes 
the battery type and time since reconditioning (dont actually 
recondition it).
