When I had my 280c I had Outlook Express 4 installed on it (I'm not sure if
it requires OS8 however). I was able to check my 4 email accounts all at the
same time. I set the account options to do a partial download and/or leave a
copy of the message on the server.
If you set it to do a partial download it will show the title and a bit of
the message. If you then set it to leave a copy have the option to delete it
from the server if you want.
