I know that I have been one of the major people sharing bad experiences with
FedEx, but I feel that to be fair I need to put this in the mix also.
I know my FedEx driver personally and he is a great person and takes great
care to make sure that any packages he delivers to me are not left in the
snow and that I get them. He did deliver my broken 9600/300, but the outside
of the package seemed OK and he was very careful with where he had it placed
in his truck and when he took it out.
Every shipping company has some breakage and that is why we purchase
insurance, but at least lately, FedEx has outdone themselves squirming out
of paying claims and not taking the blame for stupid mistakes with delivery.
The problem I see is, when I call first I get Memphus TN for one call and
then Texas for another and none of the people I talk to have ever had any
dealings with my package.
They are too big and as I said before, seem like they get a bonus for
skipping on claims payments. It looks like the feel they can run on their
old reputation and no one will find out that they are now not even close to
the company they use to be.
