I run VPC 3.0 on my non-upgraded 2400--it runs sloow, but not unaceptably. I only do what I need to; I don't do any more. Beware that some Wallstreets are crippled in that they may have passive matrix screens or no Level 2 cache (I belive only the 12.1" screen models suffer from this). While they have some great features, they also weigh 7.8 pounds (!!!). Also, the later ones have a full 8mb video ram (RagePro?). THe earlier ones only have 4mb. While they are a G3, for only a couple hundred $$$ more yo can get a Lombard--only 5.9 pounds! Just my 2 cents worth... --Charles (Recently bought a used Lombard) >I have been looking into purchasing a Powerbook and can't decide between a >wallstreet or a 2400c. It might be obvious to some to go with the >wallstreet (duh?), but I like the size and weight of the 2400c, and it is g3 >upgradable. The problem lies in the fact that I would like to run virtual >pc and it has some steep requirements( like a g3 processor, and more ram >than you can shake a stick at on 4.0 and I think 3.0).
