Hi,

I have confirmed that, running OS 8.6 on a Powerbook 2400, you should use
Open Transport 2.0.3 and not 2.5.1.

Using Open Transport 2.5.1, if I ever fail to perfectly connect to a server,
or a web site, I do not get a StopAlert box saying that the server or domain
could not be found. Instead, the application (mail, Internet Explorer,
etc.) and/or the Finder will hang up and ultimately require a restart.

Using Open Transport 2.0.3, I get the proper StopAlert boxes, no hang-ups,
no restarts.

Open Transport 2.5 shipped with OS 8.6 on later products such as
slot-loading iMac DV. But don't use it on a Powerbook 2400.

Thanks to Dean Reichert for his help with this!
