That would have been great today! It took forever to move all my extensions
and preferences (and no, i did NOT keep my old Finder prefs!)

Yes, i did try that and trashing finder prefs before I tried my "importing
a finder from Disk Tools" fiasco. I read in Macintosh Bible today that I am
not supposed to just take part of a system and plop it in there like
that--oops! Well, now I know. ;-)
