I seem to recall reading on the list that some people have created an AppleScript that goes in the "Shut Down Items" folder to automatically eject their CardBus cards before shutdown. I keep forgetting to eject my 10/100 ethernet card and firewire card before shutdown, and then of course the machine hangs on startup. I was wondering if anyone could send me their script or tell me how to write one myself. I've never written any AppleScripts before. Also, is anyone else using an ADS brand USB adapter card with their 2400? Since this card has an ADB power cable, I'm a bit curious about whether it can handle higher power USB devices when those devices don't have their own source of power. So far I've successfully used it with a USB bus powered scanner and a bus powered Zip drive. Can the MacAlly card handle these as well? I'm mostly just curious since I already shelled out the dough for the ADS card. I'm also curious about the problem some people have mentioned with CardBus upgraded 2400s when sleeping their 'book with a CardBus card installed. I haven't encountered this problem and I'm curious as to what CardBus cards and/or connected devices are associated with this problem, so that I can keep an eye out for it.
