If this is the case, would the seller admit it? I should say not!

I told him about these problems, and he sent me a pram battery and some
bogus software to make up for my prob with the ac adapter that I believe I
mentioned I replaced (with a 45w). The weird thing is, the battery came in
as fully charged, but I don't think it was charging at all when I plugged in
the 36w adapter that came with the unit (I didn't take any notice of the
charge since I was preoccupied with installing things).

My theory is the bad ac adapter that caused flickering shorted out something
in the battery. Also, when I tried to run the PB on battery, it resulted in
GLOD, but I got it going again by resetting Power manager.

I would like to know more about this bench power supply. I'm not exactly a
Mac novice, but this stuff is very arcane to me.
